A Plumber Gets One Month Imprisonment For Loading MTN Card

On may 11, 2015 26-yeare-old Vincent Musa who resides in Jabi motor park Abuja was jailed for one month in Kado Grade One Area Court, Abuja.

His offence as stated by the prosecutor, Inspector Simon Ibrahim,was purely based on deceit.
Vincent Musa a professional plumber had the boldness to walk to an MTN customer's service shop and requested for cards amounting to N13,850 under guise of a customer.
After loading this card he refused to make payment, at this juncture the complainant  Daniel Uba effected his arrest'
Alhaji Abubaka  Sadiq sentenced him to one month imprisonment and advised that it was to serve as a deterrent to any feature occurrence of such crime.
However, an option of N5,000 was given by the judge, Vincent Musa was ordered to pay the amount N13,850 the cost of the MTN card he loaded to the complainant.

One hopes that Vincent would do his job wisely and stop thinking about "plumbing" MTN cards.

America Involvement With The ISIS War In Iraq

There is an indication that the U.S. president Barack Ubama would likely send about 500 military personnel to Iraq to offer help and advice in form of military surveillance.
It is learnt that the pentagon would re-enforce  some sensitive areas and also provide logistics and military training to Iraqi government.
while this suggestions are being considered, the America  president Ubama is being careful not to deepen Americans involvement in the war against ISIS which recently has stamped its presence devastatingly in Anber (in the region of Amber) if possible trainees could be taught on tactical defences and raise their morale to counter any offences from the ISIS.
President Ubama is to travel to Germany to meet some prominent world leaders where the prime minster of Iraq Harder Abadi would also be presence.
Though, proper decision has not been made by Obama the president but, this discussion could be on the agenda  the source said.
Presently there are about 3,200 American soldiers in Iraq service in Iraq serving as military advisers, trainer and others providing basic security but not involved operation.

FIFA (SEPP STEPS ASIDE)

FIFA’s president Sepp Blatter was on Thursday admonished by the European Parliament to resign  or step down from his post and pave way for the probing  of financial scandals entangling the world’s reputable sport body FIFA.
In a show of oneness, members of the parliament unanimously voted for the resolution in that plenary section held in Strasbourg, France.
Sepp Blatter at the age of 79 had already tended his resignation letter on June 2, 2015, which would take effect by December but the out come of the plenary section has put more constrains and pressure on him.
Though Blatter has been voted for the fifth term for the post of FIFA
president, his resignation after four days was a very welcome decision to the EU lawmakers who felt the creditability and especially the financial status were in shambles and had developed a battered image such a situation will enabled the EU lawmakers to find a way forward  for the cleansing of FIFA.

Dr. Bukola Saraki administered the oath of office and allegiance on the 28 All Progressive Congress who were previously absent at the formal inauguration of the Eighth Senate on Tuesday 9th, 2015.
The proceedings and protocols were in order at the occasion until at the turn of  Oluremi Tinubu the wife of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and ex-governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.
Mrs Tinubu just refused to shake hands with the new senate president Dr. Bukola Saraki.

OGOGORO Victims Rise To 66

On Wednesday 10th June, 2015, The Rivers state government reported that the consumption of the local gin popular known as ogogoro or kai-kai has killed 28 more consumers bringing the total death toll from 38 to 66.
This revelation was made known by the director of public health in the ministry of health Dr. Nnana Onyekwere as a result of a meeting held by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Dr Somieari Harry with the dealers of this “killer” local gin. Sources put it that, greedy producers might be tempering and mixing the ogogoro stuff  with the chemical formalin which is a by-product of formaldehyde.
This concoction the producers believe has a stronger feel of “push me I push” effect. Despite the daily warnings and adverts on the abuse of this killer gin on the air waves, some addict have yet not seen its deadly work.
It could also be that some of this people are unsuspecting consumers and unaware of this killer gin on sell.
Speaking, Mr. Onyerkwere pointed out that a number of death have been recorded in Obio/Akpo local government area, Bonny, Port-Harcourt, Gokana and Ahoada-West. He noted that the must affected places were the riverine areas and further express his worries about people not taking the enlightenment campaign seriously and advised consumers that only abstaining from the poisonous drink can save their lives.
