A 36-Year-Old Woman In Finland Was Sentence For Life In Oulu District Court In Western Finland

She wickedly killed her five newborns between 2005 and 2013, her crime was such a spine chilling and very disgust-full  the police found her guilty and sentenced her for life, for the fact that she had kept this newborns in a freezer and refused to give them proper burial.
The Oulu district court in western Finland found the woman guilty of five counts of murder and five counts of disturbing the peace of the dead for failing to give the babies proper burials.
The crime was uncovered when neighbours started complaining about a pungent odour in the neighbourhood because this terrible woman (mother) could no long keep on freezing the children she then attempted to dispose the corps in a wast-bin.
The chief magistrate of the Oulu district court in western Finland found the her guilty of five counts of murder and five counts of disturbing the peace of the dead for failing to give the babies proper burials.

Court documents showed she had hid her pregnancies under loose clothing, and gave birth to the babies at home without anyone's knowledge.
District prosecutor Sari Kemppainen told AFP that all of the babies were born full-term or nearly full-term.
The fathers of the first two babies were not identified, but in 2010 she married a man and got pregnant a third time. She later told him she had suffered a miscarriage.
The husband went on to father two more babies, but was unaware of his wife's pregnancies or crimes. He petitioned for divorce immediately after the bodies were discovered.
When questioned by police, the mother was unable to explain why she had opted to keep, and not bury, the bodies.
A life sentence in Finland usually amounts to about 12 years behind bars.

How can one call such a mother tender and love. Perhaps, we don't know how many man she has frozen  before.

Two Bangladesh Militant Die In Hideout Blast - Police

A Banned Bangladeshi Islāmic group lost two of her hardcore followers in an explosion

A Banned Bangladeshi Islāmic group lost two of her hardcore followers in an explosion which took place in Dhaka as  authorities hunted them down to their hideout enclave. This is the  third consecutive raid organised by authority in four days in order to smoke out the militants as reported by AFP Dhaka. The raid on the militant was carried on by the Rapid Action Battalion and was believed to have

taken place just after midnight in Gazipur, 40 kilometres (25 miles)  north of Dhaka, where it was discovered that an abandoned house was secretly being used as a fortress by the militant for their terror activities. This was confirmed  by the spokesman of the élite police.
The story goes that when the élite police got to the house the suspected followers of Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) started  hurling bombs and targeting them with missiles which made the police open fire on them. At the end of the confrontation two dead people were found  in the building.
The report quoted an RAB official spokesman Major Rumman Mahmud as saying "We opened fire at them after a law enforcer was injured as the JMB militants hurled an IED (improvised explosive device) at our officers when we surrounded the house," "After we shot several rounds of bullets we heard an explosion inside the den. Later we found two bodies lying on the floor,"
The police discovered these items listed below: unexploded IEDs, grenades, a pistol, bullets and JMB propaganda leaflets in their hideout. This raid was particularly essential because the militant had now started killing unsuspecting foreigners and nonchalantly attacked a naval base and mosque.
The prompt arrest of three JMB who had a cache animation,  a modern assault rifle, bomb-making equipment and army uniforms accelerated the raid of the police.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Jalil Mandal admitted in his statement that the enemy had so  many tricks in the pattern of their dressing mode  "The worst part of our concern is they have local military fatigues, which makes it harder for the police to monitor their movement,".

THE VICIOUS CIRCLE OF CORRUPTION IN AFRICA AS A CASE STUDY

(Welcome to Cyprian G. Ogba's blog)

(MIGRANT) – BY PRODUCT OF THE VICIOUS CIRCLE OF CORRUPTION WORLD WIDE
In a very simplify way my definition of corruption would at least touch on areas like Political activities, Moral and Attitudinal qualities, Judiciary dispensation and others.
Greed, Want, Need and the Fear of the unknown would also be seriously examine.
These above mentioned areas in life compel me to understand how corruption is.

1. LIFE AND DEATH – The first deep breath of life which really is of death at the “hospital” where mosquitoes, cockroaches , tsetse flies wait for your arrival first port of call and this terrible world, that is if you are to survive with these devastating surroundings and conditions you have already been baptised into the “migrant family” your first examination is of the topic the survival of the fittest before then you never knew that there was no infrastructure for basic services or for corresponding facilities like a hospital and the school to hold onto. You may want to talk about education but forget about it, when you are sick and hungry your next reaction is to be angry and a sick hungry angry man has no time to think clearly for solution to come and hence he does not consider how education will play a major role in his life ahead of time, so, he simply francs on education as a side issue. Hadley does he know he is the victim of the corrupt practises by the people who are supposed to protect him with the tax payer’s money. Now you will understand how I found it difficult to explain what corruption actually is. People must know how multi-faceted corruption is. Just because these “noble men, politicians and men of valour” refuse to do the right thing and are always waddling in the quagmire of corruption, millions are born into terrible hardships. These background now prepares a young boy as it maybe into a handicap man who goes for a falsified certificate to enable him work in some places. You do not dare talk about Local Government in urban areas you may see the offices but they rarely exist. There are no hospital if there are you won’t see any medical personal. You always have to rely on the efficacy of herbal treatment.

Russia Put Heat On Election Observers - Watchdog Golos Says Lawyer (Contd)

(Welcome to Cyprian G. Ogba's blog)

The resent violation on International law by Russia against the  Yugoslav government have surely stirred up the political will and resistance of the opposition groups both in Yugoslav and Russia. Their resolve is to be able to present a common front which will be able to face and resist the manipulations of the Russian government.
It is on record that, Russia under the hardcore leadership of President Putin recently  caused a lot of havoc in Yugoslav. Not only was Yugoslav brought to her feet and taken over by the Kremlin but also an air of restiveness was spread all over the country. Russia does not believe in America intervention and considers the act as "Western interference and dabbling in Russia sovereign affairs".
This interventions by the Western Countries under the hegemony of America are considered by the Russians as dubious, and only help them (Western Countries) to hug the headlines.
One will recall that these two Countries Russia and America thrive on their incessant rivalry for the number one supper power spot in the world.  This challenge was at it peak when the Partition of Germany took place after the WWII.
This attitude for the struggle of supremacy over each other will stick around for a long time.

The senior executive Grigory Melkonyants was not left out of this ordeal various equipments including computers and other sensitive electronics from his department were sized and carted away. The lawyer claimed that the operation by the police was still in force as the time of giving the report.
There is this mechanism of tax problem the police is using to fight the "political oppositions"  the police have made it possible to "trap" the head of the group's branch in the Volga city of Samara in a tax connected investigation which sources believe  is a subterflage.
On the other hand the Golos believe that all this political intrigues, campaign of intimidation and calumny are meant to shut down their political struggle for freedom, the paper has also debunked the fact that this group of people being arrested do not represent any American interest as the police has made it to be.
With this incident  Melkonyants has opined on radio independent television channel Dozhd  that the Russian police is wielding all its power and strength against Golos on the final onslaught.
In defiance he promised that the Golos will increase its numerical strength to put check to the political dishonesty and the monitor events across the length and breadth of the country.
The Russian police has blacklisted Golos as unpatriotic paper and a "foreign stooge" in this way the paper would no more enjoy government funding. As a result the Golos has resorted to public appeals for financial support toward their feature political campaign.

If Not Epileptic light It Is Impeachment battle

Welcome to Cyprian G. Ogba's blog
On June 16th, 2015, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, said his party PDP is well prepared to defend the Deputy Senate President position assigned to Senator Ike Ekweremadu, as he (Ekweremadu) duly contested in the election and constitutionally won the election.
This matter came to the fore when senator Peter  Nwaoboshi who represents Delta North made a telephone  comment concerning some utterances made by  Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State.
Senator Peter  Nwaoboshi's grouse was that senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso  a former governor of Kano state on the platform of PDP had no right to postulate that Senator Ike Ekweremadu should be made to vacate his seat as a Deputy Senate President, for the mere reason that during PDP 16-years reign, no opposition member had a pre-village to such an elective post, he wondered allowed how Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who defected from PDP with the mind of becoming president could make such poignant statement.
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi also added that Kwankwaso who had been enjoying a lot of opportunity plus the NDDC pivotal position, left the PDP party out of  his greed and selfishness  but could not make a mark in the election and failed woefully in a bid to become the president of the country .
Senator Peter solemnly advice senator Kwankwaso who failed to vote during the inauguration to stay clear from the Saraki-Ekweremadu , the people's choice and think of how best he can help his party APC.
The only way senator Kwankwaso can make sense out of this case is to avoid sentiment and go to court for the due process of getting the impeachment to be done.
Finally, senator Peter Nwaoboshi stated that  senator Kwankwaso and his disgruntled APC members should not fight their battle on the pages of newspaper, warning them " Let me tell you we, the PDP senators, are waiting for them. They don’t have the number, they don’t have the capacity to impeach".

The Palestinian Unity Party Has Lost Grip

http://www.ogbanewsalive.comWelcome to Cyprian G. Ogba's blog
The idea of forming the Palestinian unity party was  in a bid to bring together the former opposing groups, Hamas and president Mahmud Abbas's Fatah party fail through this ensured the resignation of the proposed unity party on Wednesday a source reported.
Nimr Hammad the adviser to Abbas reported that this Hamdallah handed his resignation to Abbas and was advice by Abbas to form a new government.
There is to be a discussion and consultation where other Palestinian  faction like Hamans will be part of the decision.

Sources said this desolation and fall of the government made up of technocrats  had been long awaited because the cabinet has been a toothless 'bulldog' in the Hamas- dominated Gaza Strip.
Other Hamas sources contradicted this reason and said  that the Islamic movement was holding separate, indirect talks with Israel on ways to conclude an informal ceasefire agreement that took hold last August, ending a 50-day war in Gaza.
This accusation prompted prime minister Abas to dissolve government.

France, Italy And Germany "To Take The Bull By The Horn" On Migrant Issues

Welcome to Cyprian G. Ogba's blog
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=VVUCK5BYTW3MN

On the 16th June, 2015, France, Italy and Germany signed an agreement between themselves for the effective check on migrants taking perilous and futile journeys  from Libya and other African countries.
There was complete show of unity amongst the three ministers who stood for their countries  in signing the agreement.
At a press conference,  Mr. Bernard Cazeneuve French Interior Minister said “You have three friends in front of you,” which probably meant that the migrants crisis was about to end.
They thought it wise that the proper screening process should be held for the migrant  who regardless of the danger on the Mediterranean sea keep coming on in their large numbers.
This screening would help them separate the group of migrant who have proper reason to be helped and to be relocated to other  EU countries.
Such relocation would be done by sharing the migrant to the countries without much stress on their various economy.
The other migrants who had no good reasons or valid documents for any applications for asylum would be send back to their various countries.
Such a decision would help ease up the strain of countries like France, Greece and Italy and further more  lessen the distress on the Northern countries where this migrant eventually settle done with other relatives.
In this northern countries, the migrant easily find jobs and cope up with life.
With this screening mechanism France and Austria have heighten their security apparatus and turned back hundreds of migrants towards Italy where they are now living in makeshift houses and a number of them taking shelter at railway stations in Rome and Milan  compounding normal civil life.
This situation has prompted the Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi who said Italy has plan B for the solution of this problem but advice that if the plan B is used would destroy the image and the esteem of  the EU.
He consequently advice for all hands should be on deck and save the EU from this migrant issue.
Also, the European commission has advised the EU government to relocate 24,000 asylum-seekers from Italy and 16,000 from Greece over the next two years to help ease  the strain and tension cause by such influx of migrant on the Southern countries.

While they sang "warlike" songs to express their anger.
At that stage they were addressed by Mr. Fred Ugwu an official of EEDC  who "commended" them of their good behaviour and promise to look into the grievances and channel them to the appropriate higher authority for consideration and solution.

Police In Chad's Capital City Targeted By Suicide Bombers

In N'Djamena a capital of Chad it has been reported that a suicide bomber attacked a police and intelligence officers at a duty post, the report said, it was too early to know the number of victims in this heinous act. It also review that this is the first time an attack has been lunch in the city.

Security deployed to the place have the situation under their control at the moment as confirmed by Interior Minister Abderahim Bireme Hamid.
An eye wittiness had claimed at the police station that he saw three victims at the place of incidence  when he gave an interview to Reuters.
It is one thing not confirmed but sources said there is a probability that the Boko Haram Islamic militant group might be the major source for the operation.
Chad plays a prominent role in the five-nation coalition which is relentlessly fighting Boko Haram which has its base in northern Nigeria, because of Chad's proximity to Nigeria, one does not wonder why Boko Haram has the effrontery to attack Chad's military personnel.
Not only had Chad faced Boko Haram but also had in many ways fought jihadist groups domiciled  in northern Mali.
As a result Chad has lost many Prominent and brave soldiers in this two prong attacks from Boko Haram insurgents and the jihadist groups in northern Mali respectively.
In N'Djamena, which has a border with Cameroon has been selected as a muster point or headquarters for the coalitions of the five countries namely Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Benin to form a formidable regional  army to fight this terrorist mention above and hopefully put them out of existence.

Controversy Of Subsidy And It Aftermath Of Subsidy Cancellation

AS part of efforts for putting a halt to the lingering fuel crisis, Petroleum marketers have suggested Crude swap between them and the Federal Government.
With the crude swap, government is expected to allocate certain barrels of crude oil to the markers, which the latter will in-turn take to refineries abroad, process and return same quantity as finished product.
The marketers had stopped importation of petroleum products since March when controversy over subsidy debt started, leaving the business of fuel importation to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which now imports only 50 per cent of required products into the country.
The marketers, who are working on the ‘‘swap” arrangement have already sold the idea to the Federal Government for adoption, and assumed that it could bring to a permanent end the subsidy regime and the current fuel crisis in the immediate future.
According to them, the arrangement was necessary “as the government can no longer sustain subsidy of the products.
The long-term solution, according to the marketers required the encouragement of local refining of the crude so to put a permanent end to importation of the commodity, and to make it affordable to all Nigerians.
National Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chief Okoronkwo Chinedu, gave the hint during the week that the marketers were working on ‘‘swap” arrangement with the government as a short-term solution.
The IPMAN chairman said his association is no longer interested in subsidy, but its alternative that could bring normalcy into the Nigerian petroleum market.
He also suggested local refining of crude as the long-term solution to the current fuel crisis, adding that his association had already secured 1,350 hectares of land in Itobe, Kogi State as a place for its own refinery for which it had applied for license from Petroleum Pipeline Products Regulatory Agency (PPPRA).
‘‘The government can no longer sustain the subsidy regime. So the alternative in the short run, is the ‘‘swap arrangement.” Give us the crude, we will export and bring back the refined products in the same quantity of crude given to us. The price of the crude is no longer the way it used to-be. We can bring in fuel without subsidy. We have foreign partners who can wet this country. If they give us crude, we can take out and bring back refined products without subsidy. They don’t have money to fund subsidy policy because of the dwindling revenue”.
The Major Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) also confirmed that its members have not been importing subsidy based petroleum product.
The Executive Secretary, Olawore Obafemi, said they have only been helping NNPC in the distribution of the products, thus confirming claims that only 50 per cent of local demand of the product is being supplied.
‘‘We are not importing petroleum products, especially those that are subsidy based. We are distributing what NNPC gives. As they give, we send to the market”, Olawore said, adding that the government was trying to get to the marketers in the attempt to resolve ripples emanating from subsidy regime”.
Like his IPMAN counterpart, Olawore said it was obvious that government could no longer sustain the subsidy regime, hence the support for total deregulation of the entire oil and gas sector.
‘‘We are 150 per cent in support of deregulation of the oil sector, because the government can no longer sustain subsidy. If, for instance, we are consuming 40 million litres of fuel daily, it means government is going to pay N1.6 billion daily on subsidy. Why should government sustain that? Where is the money? They should deregulate and put in place a very strong regulatory agency for operational matters, not on price. The agency should only monitor the market as we are doing in Telecom sector and to call players to order. Nigeria, the government and Nigerians are not enjoying the subsidy regime. The only people that are enjoying it are the foreigners, the refineries abroad,” he lamented.
He gave reasons why deregulation is necessary. He said it would encourage the emergence of local refineries that will cut all import costs, which , according to him, include $30,000 Temporary Import Permit paid by marketers to the Nigeria Customs Service, three per cent freight charges payable to the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and charges by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). All these charges, he said, were being collected by the agencies in dollars.
Although the tension created as a result of fuel scarcity last month is yet to subside completely, NNPC said it has enough products to sustain the market as it is today, even when many filling stations are yet to receive supplies.
The corporation said it was aware that the market ‘‘is not fully wet,” but it might not be able to supply more than half of the market demand as a result of government regulation.
Authoritative source at petroleum Product Marketing Company, (PPMC), a subsidiary of NNPC, confirmed that the corporation is now the only organization importing fuel, as the marketers had discontinued importation to protest non-payment of subsidy debt owed them by the government.
‘‘We are only importing 50 per cent of our local consumption. Before now, NNPC was importing 50 per cent of local need, while the remaining 50 per cent was by marketers. But they have stopped importation and NNPC cannot go beyond its 50 per cent. So the fuel you have now is from NNPC, which is sustaining the country at the moment.
On pricing, consumers have contended with increased price of the products that used to-be sold at N87 per litre. The price per litre now varies between N87 and N130 per litre.
But the Lagos State Chapter, of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), absolved its members of any blame over the current hike . Rather, it put the blame on private petroleum distributors who sell fuel at a cost of N105 or N110 per litre so that the economy of the nation would not be grounded.

America Involvement With The ISIS War In Iraq

There is an indication that the U.S. president Barack Ubama would likely send about 500 military personnel to Iraq to offer help and advice in form of military surveillance.
It is learnt that the pentagon would re-enforce  some sensitive areas and also provide logistics and military training to Iraqi government.

FIFA (SEPP STEPS ASIDE)

FIFA’s president Sepp Blatter was on Thursday admonished by the European Parliament to resign  or step down from his post and pave way for the probing  of financial scandals entangling the world’s reputable sport body FIFA.

Sepp Blatter at the age of 79 had already tended his resignation letter on June 2, 2015, which would take effect by December but the out come of the plenary section has put more constrains and pressure on him.
Though Blatter has been voted for the fifth term for the post of FIFA

OGOGORO Victims Rise To 66

On Wednesday 10th June, 2015, The Rivers state government reported that the consumption of the local gin popular known as ogogoro or kai-kai has killed 28 more consumers bringing the total death toll from 38 to 66.
This revelation was made known by the director of public health in the ministry of health Dr. Nnana Onyekwere as a result of a meeting held by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Dr Somieari Harry with the dealers of this “killer” local gin. Sources put it that, greedy producers might be tempering and mixing the ogogoro stuff  with the chemical formalin which is a by-product of formaldehyde.
This concoction the producers believe has a stronger feel of “push me I push” effect. Despite the daily warnings and adverts on the abuse of this killer gin on the air waves, some addict have yet not seen its deadly work.
It could also be that some of this people are unsuspecting consumers and unaware of this killer gin on sell.
